เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับศาสนาพุทธ เรื่องสังคายนาในศาสนาพุทธ ก็คือการประชุมตรวจชำระและจัดหมวดหมู่คำสั่งสอนของพระพุทธเจ้าวางลงเป็นแผนอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกัน ตามศัพท์ “สังคายนา” หมายถึง สวดพร้อมกัน หรือเรียกอีกอย่างหนึ่งว่า “สังคีติ” มี 5 ประการ คือ 1.การปฐมสังคายนา 2.ทุติยสังคายนา 3.ตติยสังคายนา 4.ปัญจมสังคายนา 5.ปัญหาการนับครั้งการสังคายนา
