เรื่องที่ 179 พระคัมภีร์ใบลานนี้ ได้มาจากวัดบุญญวาสวิหาร ต.ท่าใหม่ อ.ท่าใหม่ จ.จันทบุรี เมื่อวันที่ 14 มกราคม 2532 เป็นคัมภีร์อักษรขอมทั้งผูก ชื่อเรื่องแปลเป็นภาษาบาลี-ไทย ตัวอักษรหนังสือเป็นเส้นจาร ฉบับล่องชาด ไม้ประกับธรรมดา มีทั้งหมด 6 ผูก แต่งโดยพระอนุรุทธาจารย์ สร้างโดยสีกากี๋ เมื่อปี พ.ศ.2460 (ร.6)
เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับคัมภีร์โสตัพพมาลินี เป็นคัมภีร์ใบลานที่ถูกแต่งขึ้นเพื่อแนะนำการฟังธรรมที่ถูกต้อง คัมภีร์มีลักษณะเป็นความเรียงร้อยแก้วล้วนเน้นความชัดเจน เข้าใจง่าย และรัดกุม และนำเสนอไปตามลำดับการแต่งตั้งคัมภีร์บาลีโดยทั่วไป คือ อุทเทสนิทเทสและปฏินิทเทส โดยรวบรวมข้อมูลจากคัมภีร์พระพุทธศาสนา เช่น พระไตรปิฎก อรรถกถา รวมถึงนิทานพื้นบ้านศรีลังกามาเล่าประกอบ
