พระคัมภีร์ใบลานฉบับนี้ ได้มาจากวัดบุญญวาสวิหาร ต.ท่าใหม่ อ.ท่าใหม่ จ.จันทบุรี เมื่อวันที่ 14 มกราคม 2532 เป็นคัมภีร์อักษรขอมทั้งผูก ชื่อเรื่องแปลเป็นภาษาบาลี-ไทย ตัวอักษรหนังสือเป็นเส้นจาร ฉบับล่องชาด ไม่มีไม้ประกับ มีทั้งหมด 9 ผูก พระอนุรุทธาจารย์ เป็นผู้แต่ง
เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับคัมภีร์สารสังคหะ มีเนื้อหาครอบคลุมพระไตรปิฎก อรรถกถา ฎีกา และคันถันตระ โดยมีบาลีเพียงเล็กน้อย แต่ครอบคลุมสาระธรรมที่เป็นโลกิยะ และคุตตระ คัมภีร์สารสังคหะนี้เป็นที่นิยมใช้แหล่งข้อมูลแสวงหาความรู้ของพุทธศาสนิกชนในรุ่นต่อๆมา ทั้งในศรีลังกา พม่า ไทย และไกลไปถึงยุโรป ดังปรากฏว่าคัมภีร์นี้ จัดพิมพ์เป็นภาษาบาลี อักษรสิงหล พม่า ไทย และโรมันสืบมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้
