Research conceptualization in genders, sexuality and AIDS studies Abstract A summary of the resource. รายงานวิจัยนี้ วิเคราะห์วิธีคิดวิทยาที่อยู่เบื้องหลังงานวิจัยทางสังคมศาสตร์เรื่องเพศภาวะและเพศวิถีกับเอดส์ กระบวนทัศน์ (paradigm) ของการทำงานชิ้นนี้คือ การวิเคราะห์วาทกรรมและภาษาในงานวิจัยผ่านมุมมองสตรีนิยม ซึ่งเป็นการรื้อถอนอำนาจที่แฝงอยู่ในการเขียนหรืออำนาจที่แสดงออกผ่านการเขียน จากการวิเคราะห์ฐานคติของงานวิจัยทางสังคมศาสต์ที่เกี่ยวกับเอดส์ที่คัดเลือกมาจำนวน 45 ชิ้น พบว่าส่วนใหญ่ใช้ฐานคติตามสำนักคิดปฏิฐานนิยม จำนวนงานวิจัยที่ใช้ฐานคติแบบตีความนิยม และวิพากษ์นิยมมีค่อนข้างน้อย อย่างไรก็ตาม การวิเคราะห์งานวิจัยทั้งหมดได้สะท้อนความแตกต่างของ ‘วิธีคิดวิทยา’ (research conceptualization) ที่อยู่เบื้องหลังฐานคติของแต่ละสำนักคิด ในการกำหนดเป้าหมายงานวิจัย วิธีการเก็บข้อมูล การตีความหมายปรากฏการณ์ที่ศึกษา และการเชื่อมโยง (หรือไม่เชื่อมโยง) ของข้อค้นพบกับข้อเสนอแนะที่ได้จากงานวิจัย ในการวิเคราะห์วาทกรรม ผู้วิจัยได้ถอดรหัสวิธีคิดของงานเขียนที่เกี่ยวกับเพศภาวะและเพศวิถีกับเอดส์ศึกษา 3 ชุดความคิดคือ (1) การเปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงโครงสร้างทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคมเป็นสาเหตุที่ทำให้การแสดงออกทางเพศของคนเปลี่ยนแปลงไป (2) พฤติกรรมทางเพศว่าด้วยเรื่องเอดส์เป็นพฤติกรรมทางเพศระหว่างชายและหญิง ซึ่งเป็นการผลิตซ้ำความคิดที่ว่าความสัมพันธ์ทางเพศ “ที่ถูกต้อง” คือสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นระหว่างชายหญิงเท่านั้น และ (3) การสันนิษฐานไว้ก่อนว่าคนที่อยู่ใน “กลุ่มเดียวกัน” ย่อมมีพฤติกรรมเหมือนกัน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งความคิดเกี่ยวกับเรื่อง ‘กลุ่มเสี่ยง’สำหรับการวิเคราะห์ภาษาเพื่อชี้ให้เห็นว่า ภาษาเขียน ที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยเอดส์มีอำนาจในตัวของมันเอง เพราะสามารถตอกย้ำและผลิตซ้ำชุดความคิดใดความคิดหนึ่งได้ หรือสามารถรื้อให้เห็นรากเหง้าที่มาของชุดความคิดใดความคิดหนึ่งได้เช่นกัน คำต่อไปนี้คือ ‘การแต่งงาน’ ‘เพศสัมพันธ์ก่อนสมรสหรือก่อนวัยอันควร’ ‘การรักนวลสงวนตัว’ ‘พฤติกรรมเสี่ยง’ ‘กลุ่มเสี่ยง’ และ ‘สำส่อน’ ได้ถูกหยิบยกขึ้นมาให้เห็นถึงอำนาจในการเขียน (narrative authority) ของนักวิจัย แนวคิดทฤษฎีที่นักวิจัยใช้จะเป็นตัวที่สะท้อนชัดมากว่า งานวิจัยชิ้นนั้นๆวางตำแหน่งของกลุ่มที่ไปศึกษาไว้อย่างไร มองความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างนักวิจัยกับผู้ที่ถูกศึกษาอย่างไร และที่สำคัญคือ มีลักษณะการผลิตซ้ำหรือว่าต่อรองอำนาจทางความรู้ของสถาบันใด ผู้วิจัยได้วิพากษ์สรุปรวมการถอดรหัสความรู้ความจริงในมิติสำคัญๆของเรื่องเพศในเอดส์ศึกษาของไทย 5 ประเด็นคือ (1) เมื่อคำว่า ‘รักนวลสงวนตัว’ ถูกผลิตซ้ำและตอกย้ำว่าคืออุดมการณ์สำหรับ ‘ผู้หญิงดี’ ในสังคมไทย (2) อคติที่แฝงฝังอยู่กับคำว่า ‘เพศสัมพันธ์ก่อนสมรส’ (3) มายาคติเรื่อง ‘กลุ่มเสี่ยง’ (4) การสถาปนาสมการความเชื่อเรื่องถุงยางอนามัยว่าของคู่กันของชายนักเที่ยวกับหญิงบริการ และ (5) ความล้มเหลวของการพยายามสร้างความรู้ใหม่จากความรู้เดิมโดยการวิจัยแบบ KAP Survey มุมมองใหม่ในการวางนโยบายการวิจัยเรื่องเพศกับเอดส์ที่เสนอคือ (1) ให้พุ่งความสนใจไปที่การวางแนวทางการศึกษาเพื่อให้เข้าใจพฤติกรรมทางเพศ แบบ ที่นำไปสู่การติดเชื้อ โดยการวิจัยควรเริ่มที่จุดยืนแน่ชัดว่ากลุ่มบุคคลที่ศึกษาไม่ว่าจะเป็นใครก็ตาม มีทาง ‘เลือก’ ในชีวิตมากน้อยเพียงใดที่จะทำให้เขามีพฤติกรรมทางเพศที่ไม่นำไปสู่การติดเชื้อเอชไอวี บริบทในชีวิตแบบใดทำให้คนแต่ละคนต้องตกไปสู่การมี ‘พฤติกรรมเสี่ยง’ (2) มิติใหม่ในการวิจัยเกี่ยวกับถุงยางอนามัย 2 มิติ คือ วัฒนธรรมทางกามารมณ์แบบไทยๆกับการใช้ถุงยางอนามัย และการวิจัยสำรวจที่สามารถเชื่อมต่อภาพอัตราความชุกของการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยกับอัตราการของคงใช้ถุงยางอนามัย และ (3) การวิจัยเรื่องเพศกับเอดส์ที่สังคมไทยยังขาดแคลนความรู้ความจริงและความเข้าใจ ได้แก่ ในกลุ่มประชากรต่อไปนี้ กลุ่มผู้ชายแปลงเพศ หญิงรักหญิง กลุ่มรักสองเพศ (bisexuality) ในมิติเรื่องความรุนแรงต่อผู้หญิงกับความเสี่ยงของผู้หญิงในการติดเชื้อ การเลือกปฏิบัติต่อผู้หญิงบริการกับความเสี่ยงของผู้หญิงบริการในการติดเชื้อ บริบทชีวิตของแรงงานข้ามชาติกับความเสี่ยงต่อการติดเชื้อ และในมิติที่ยังไม่เคยมีการศึกษาคือ เรื่องของเพศภาวะและเพศวิถีในโลกเสมือนจริง (cyber genders and sexualities)
